Another cassette from Lindsay containing various practise session live recordings (as if they were recording in a studio but on crappy monaural cassette deck).

I must have heard these songs a million times or more. They seemed to play the same 4 tunes over and over and over in that converted bedroom in Newtown. And they had to - they were built on complex time signatures and harsh changes. Obviously influenced by jazz rock, the tunes were simply too hard for them to play with any fluidity so they stuck with it until they learnt them by rote.

These are the band before Tony Milner joined and so there's a lack of his guitar angularity which made them even more interesting but it still has some terrific vibrant moments. Oh, the tension...
